Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances
Louvre Abu Dhabi, UAE
2024

Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances was an ambitious exhibition at the Louvre Abu Dhabi that brought together iconic works from the Post-Impressionist era, including legends like Van Gogh, Cézanne, Seurat, and Redon. Organized in collaboration with Musée d’Orsay, it guided visitors through nine distinct thematic sections exploring the evolution and influence of this radical period in art history.
As an interactive developer on the project, I created two digital installations using Unity to help bring the exhibition to life. The first was a projection-mapped central table that acted as a kind of digital compass for navigating the exhibition—visitors could use their fingers on its surface like a giant touchscreen, thanks to a LIDAR sensor. This centerpiece was designed to be both functional and immersive, giving visitors an intuitive way to explore the stories behind the works on display.
A second installation where visitors could generate their own custom artwork inspired by the exhibition. Using a combination of pre-selected sketches, visual styles, and color palettes—all drawn from the featured artists' work—visitors could craft their own unique Post-Impressionist image and download it using the QR code on screen. I designed the full workflow using Stable Diffusion (Comfy UI) to generate the final compositions as well as the web server to host them for download.
It was incredibly rewarding to see my work shown in the same space as the greats of the movement—it’s not every day you get to share a room with Van Gogh.
